Your home, your place.
Welcome to Ling Trust.
We are a dedicated charity providing housing and support for people with learning disabilities and autism. For over 40 years, we’ve worked across communities in Essex, Northampton, Wembley, Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Hertfordshire — helping people find safe, comfortable homes where they can live independently and on their own terms.
This website is a place where you can find out what we do, get support, report repairs, or just learn a little more about who we are.
Thanks to support from the National Lottery, we’ve created this space to stay better connected with our tenants, families, partners, and anyone else who shares our values.
If there’s something you’d like to see here or a way we can make things clearer, we’d love to hear from you.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create homes where tenants feel safe, respected, and empowered to live life on their own terms. We believe that your home should be personal, not just practical, and that everyone deserves the comfort and autonomy of their own sanctuary amidst the bustling world around us.
Our mission is rooted in person-centred values and guided by the REACH Standards. Ling staff were involved in the original project around those standards, and they remain the only standards still used today by CQC in supported living. We ensure that the housing support we offer is meaningful, respectful, and tailored to the needs of those we serve.

Our Partnerships
We’re proud to work alongside organisations that share our values and our commitment to inclusive, high-quality housing and support. These partnerships help us offer more than just a place to live—they allow us to build stronger foundations for people to thrive.
By teaming up with like-minded groups, we amplify what each of us does best. Together, we can reach more people, push for better standards, and focus on what really matters: creating homes and communities where people with learning disabilities and autism feel safe, respected, and truly at home.
